Death & Funerals

There are several people who can guide you in the right direction, but generally, when you go to your chosen funeral undertaker, they will liaise with the parish to make all the arrangements for you.

When the parish priest visits your home, he will bring a funeral booklet with choices of readings, prayers of the faithful and singers for the funeral Mass.

The funeral Mass will be live streamed, not recorded however you can request it to be recorded should the family wish this to be done. You must advise the parish priest when he calls to your home.

Families generally book a Month’s Mind Mass to remember their loved one and then an annual anniversary Mass thereafter. You can call the office to book either Mass for a time that best suits your family.

If you have never dealt with death before or have little knowledge of how to organise a funeral, you will find the booklet below very useful.
