Get Involved
We always need volunteers in our parish. We particularly need gardeners to keep the grounds clean and tidy. We have various volunteering opportunities and we are a very happy parish with a great community feel so if you need to get out for a few hours, need your confidence building or just want to make new friends, please have a look at our groups or call in for a chat to see where you feel you could add to our team at St Oliver Plunkett. Would you like to read at the Mass, welcome parishioners or become a Eucharistic Minister? There are huge opportunities for you with St Oliver Plunkett Parish.
We have increased the prizes per month and we will have a one off Christmas £500 prize each year so if you are not already in the draw, please consider joining. You can purchase as many tickets as you wish to for £2 each and you can pay by cash, but preferably standing order so you don’t need to remember when payment is due. There is a sign up form on our site and if you need any assistance, please contact the parish office. You can deal directly with your bank to set this up or bring the sign up form to the office and we will deal with it for you.
You can purchase a parish draw gift card from the office to give as a present – contact the office for information
If you pay tax, at no cost to yourself and if you authorise St Oliver Plunkett to, we can claim gift aid on your contribution to the Church so please consider this as a means of raising our income?
Throughout the year, there are small fundraisers that happen in the parish. If you would like to help fundraise please contact the parish office.
The parish offers, for a suggested donation, a beautiful variety of cards for all occasions for a Mass intention. We have Mass cards, birthday cards, thinking of you, anniversary and get well cards. Call to the parish office between 9am and 1pm Monday to Friday.
the generous donations made when parishioners light a candle for a special intention or donations made for flowers really do make a huge difference to our annual income so please continue to support the parish.
Fr Tony became parish administrator in September 2024. Unless he knows you personally prior to this, he cannot sign any legal documents such as passports and renewals for driving licences. The forms will indicate the person signing must know you personally for 2 years. Apologies.
Donations and legacies of any amount are most welcome at any time.
